Tabs with Super Leather

Does anyone treat their super leather tab with anything, say to soften it up, maybe getting it a little closer to a cordovan tab? I really like my Black Widow tab, the contour of it in the palm of my hand, better than the Bateman. I remember years ago using saddle soap on a baseball mitt. Any ideas?
