Reinforcements needed South central Indiana area

Any like minded guys live anywhere close to the Bedford area? I feel like the Lone Ranger around here most of the time and wouldn't mind to get together with some guys or someone to do some shoot'n, hunt'n, fish'n etc... Just put'n the feelers out there. Any takers?

There are seversl trad people in your area. Go to a Bloomington Archery club shoot or the White River Bowhunters shoot. Lots of trad shooters there. One of bedfords finest, Brian Sorrells, has written many articles for TBM and published a book. You are far from alone. We live north of Indianapolis but hunt near jasper.

There's one about an hour southeast of me. Been having a hard time finding time to get there. My son is grown and heading off to college soon so I figured I put the word out to see if anybody was looking too.

Our favorite is Nancy's Broken Arrow just south of Cloverdale. Always a lot of trad people there. I think white river bowhunters has a shoot coming up the first weekend in March and Nancy's is a week or two after that.

Absolutely nice to know your not alone! I've put a lot of time and effort into my son and he's been doin his own thing for the last couple months and him headed off to college soon got me to think'n... be kinda nice to have some like minded guys to hang out with occasionally. My wife offered and I love her, but it's not the same! :0)

I don't know. My wife shoots and hunts with me. Taken her share with her Great Northern. Our 3 children have been shooting stickbows and attending 3d shoots across the country since they could walk. The two oldest continued thru college and still shoot. The youngest shows no sign of being any different. All have connected on game with their stickbows. Can't imagine it being any better.

Hey Covey I'm not too far from you. (Jackson County), Vallonia area. ITBA has shoots in Scottsburg, IN a little south of me. I hear they're a great group of folks to hang out with. My work schedule never seems to work to their shoot schedule, but give me a hollar and we'll see if we can hook up for a little shooting sometime. I will also say there is the SIBH (Southern Indiana Bow Hunt) that John Scifres does each year at the Jackson-Washington State Forest that is always a great time for hunting and just hanging out with a really friendly group of traditional guys.

Thanks for all the info! I've been to Scottsburg several times just haven't been able to get there this year, but I'm gonna try. I knew John Scifres put on a hunt, but I've never been able to get there either... HA! My work schedule has opened up some as I get some years in so I gonna make an effort to get out a bit more. I definitely give you a holler when I'm headed to Scottsburg. I have Cloverdale on schedule for this year also...hopefully!
