Firstly, a big Aussie Gday to all here on Trad Gang... Tis been a spell since my last post due to any number of reasons, but alas... I feel I'm home again amungst friends and brothers of the bow.

A while back I was offered 3 dozen POC shafts, in high spine (they'll suit my widow that is 63# @ my 29" draw) that I plan to taper, crest, splice and maybe even foot... All in all, turn out a real set or two of 'happiness'.

For years now I've been shooting Arrow Dynamics, again for a number of reasons that I'm sure now, don't need to be debated here... We all know the pros and cons. But... And there is always a but I find... I've had me a hankering to make up some real fine woods to, well... Walk the bush line with.

So getting back to my titled question here guys, who had some photos of arrows that have the 'T-Hawk' or 'Swift' style fletching on them? I normally shoot, and have done so for many a year now, the low banana style fletching. But seeing as I need to place an order for some nocks etc those two shapes has me wanting to try something new...

Cheers guys, it's great to be back again.

Regards from a warm Australia,

AK.

Howdy and g'day Al.  Welcome back.  I don't use those styles but might if someone's pix are inticing. Hope some are posted.

Hey Al

I shot cedars from a widow TF recurve 60# with 27" draw and it took 90# spine to get good flight. Hard to find them that heavy. Feather shapes you mentioned look a lot like the low banana and you won't see much difference. Trad or P&Y shapes make a buzz noise in flight, but the ones you mentioned should be quiet. Have fun making up you new arrows.

Yeh Shaun, ive always had that issue with under spined POCs but these are 90/95 and as straight as I've ever seen. I'm thinking they will do the trick...

Hey Al...I have the 3Rivers Swift shopper...makes a wicked looking arrow for sure. I'll see if I still have any of those arrows laying around.

Here are a couple that I did with a custom order Swift pattern from 3R. It's a 5 in. insted of 5.5 in.

Sorry about the post size. Mods please delete if too large. Also posted a link instead of a pic of one. Gonna be a bad day I suspect!

I have been debating these 2 choppers as well. I think ive finally settled on the t hawk chopper. I love shield cuts and these look like they will be a bit more quiet than a regular shield.

Here's a few pics of the T-hawk.
Not fancy arrows..but I do like the T-hawk cut.
These are all T-hawk...some of the shot angles almost make them look like naners.

I adjust the base..so some of these are longer than others.
