I usually like to sing along with my favorite tenor while driving when hunting.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4B2vCxmtFo
But then I went and heard this guy, even though I am a classical guitarist, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can even play this one.  It just sounds like hunting' music to me.

Hey kevsuperg what about Blow and Stomp by the Old Does?

I like the quiet driving to hunt. Usually if I have a buddy or brother riding with me we are talking about hunts past or hopes of deer we might see.

If any of you knew Chris, you wouldn't even be able to imagine him sitting in a stand!

Why would you EVER listen to music???  Driving (for several days) -- NOT!  Hunting, NOT! Fishing, NOT!  What a waste!!

Music is a waste? I listen to a lot of music on my way to the hunt. I like to listen to the into the wild soundtrack from Eddie Vedder. and I will go there. I have listened to podcast in the stand on a whole day sit before.

Chattering of pine squirrels, elk bugling and mewing, scolding of jays. The hills are alive with the sounds of music!
If you don't like cops, next time you need help, call Al Sharpton

Bobaru

My favorite sound is the wind through the Pines and spruces.  I was fortunate in 2014 to learn what the wind in the camelthorns is all about.

WOW, lots of different opinions. I never thought about playing music while on stand or still hunting. I love the silence of the forest too. But after a couple of hard days of pounding the mountains with no luck. Sometimes I tend to get negative thoughts and head chatter. While I'm driving to the trail head a favorite song like our National Anthem or podcast or CD, it can snap me back to my positive self. The opening song on Last of the Mahicans is "The Elk Hunt." Just giving a little insight. Love everybodies input.

Don't listen to music in the woods but always to and from.  Certain country songs bring me back to particular years, stands, places, road trips, etc.  I love hearing a song that I haven't heard in a while and having my mind take me right to the time of year or particular hunt.

A little Waylon on the way up to the shack always strikes my fancy!

snag

The sounds of the forest. Especially when a light breeze moves through the trees.
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Saguache

The birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees...I listen to audio books or music in my tent at night but wouldn't think of polluting the sounds around me with music while in the woods hunting.

Mitch Edwards

Well like everyone else I can't imagine listening to music while hunting. On my way to the woods especially in the early morning it's Metallica. Between that and a monster my bloods pumpin and I'm all fired up. I'm not a big morning person so I need some serious stimulation to get me woke up and ready

Elk bugles, bird songs, crickets chirping, brooks babbling, trees rustling in the wind, oh and the sound of silence isn't bad either!
