since i'm trying to adopt a "cockfeather on the nose" anchor as well as a few others to help my consistency,,, i may need to relocate my fletches to help keep my drawarm's elbow in line with the arrow. how far back can i fletch and does moving your fletching farther back affect arrow flight?

On my jig ( Jo-Jan ) the jig has a stoping point where the feathers end goes. other then that I would say about a inch from the nockgrove, so your fingers aren't on the feathers.

Dont use your feather for an anchor. Get a cavalier tab with the built in anchor ledge if you have to,otherwise use hand to face in some way or other. Get a very light bow about the same length as your regular bow,say 25 or 30# and it will let you hold back long enough to experiment with different anchors till you find  a good one for you. the feather anchor is just not good.
