Went to Mojam Friday to look about. Was wandering about visiting and watching folks make bows , stone heads, and other stuff, and the unbelievable happened ...

Ran across a fellow TGer, Mr. Mark Daniels. A fine gentleman who makes some great bows.

He showed me a static curve, sweet drawing ,sexy little gal.

He was also making an osage selfbow, multitalented fellow.

Then I had to get started home, as my dog , Zwickey was in her kennel, and I didn't want her to stay there too long. She is very energetic and I like her to be free to run!!

Mark said he had something in his truck he wanted to show me right quick, so we walked back up the road to his truck where he pulled another beautiful bow out. A 64" D/R, 50# @ 28", right up my alley!! He says" I made this for you" , as I drooled and stammered around.

Unbelievable!! Thanks again Mark!! I can't repeat that enough SIR !

The people of TradGang are some kind of wonderful folks.

Hope I don't make her look bad!!

Thanks once again Mark !!      :bigsmyl:

That's a nice looking bow Kenny, enjoy it!!! How did it tune and what's your setup? Do you shoot the same setup with all your bows?

I haven't tuned it in but it seems to like my usual arrows, .500s with a 200 up front, at 30.5" long.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Surprised you can get away with a 500 spine, I shoot the dsame as you with 400 spin e am I too stiff? Bareshafts fly well

Unusual sweeping tips Mr. Kenny is it Fast Flight compatible? Reason I asked is I see no horn or Phenolic. Very nice design. Hope you enjoy.

kennym

I shot over spine arrows for a long time til I listened to Big Jim and went with 500s . All around  better flight now.

Howard, I didn't ask Mark about ff, tho the string looks like it. He will be home from Mojam soon I think.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Dang Kenny!!! What a beauty my friend. That grip looks to be right up your alley  :)

kennym

Thanks guys!

I bareshaft to 30 yards, if my form is on, they are right with the fletched arrows. I told Jim what I had and he said use 500s. LOL
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Wonder if I should try 500s I have a 50 pound bow and a 54 pound coming thisnweek, what ya think?

A lot of it depends on how close to center the actual bow is cut. Past center will take a stiffer shaft and before center , more limber. All trial and error.

You might call Jim and tell him what you have. He is pretty good at estimating what you need.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
