And I have been shooting it more than her the bow I bought for her was the black swamp model and boy what a sweetheart it is !! I also handled one of his three pieces at tradfest and loved it so much I ordered one of those as well I haven't really seen much posted on treadway bows here so if any one here is shooting one post up some pics!!

Reed still has this Black Swamp.  He is just about to let the air out of a javalina in this picture, which was taken eight years ago now. He was 11.

I don't think that Mike had been making that model all that long then.

Mike is a first rate guy and a great bowyer.

Hey Mark, I've got a couple of Mike's bows. I have 2 Black Rocks and a 2 piece Black Swamp. One of the Black Rocks I picked up on the St Jude auction last year for a peach of a price, the other is serial #2, the first one he made for sale. The 2 piece Swamp is really sweet and is my primary bow. Here's a pick of a buck I took with a Black Forrest bow several years ago. I enjoyed looking at the new bows he had at the Tradfest. I probably saw you there.

Ron W has one absolute beauty, hopefully he will show up soon with pics...

I just brought the post with my Treadway back up to the top.......It's his Traditional "D" shaped bow. It's a beauty........Osage and Cedar with Caribou tips.

I've had a couple come through here.  I'm on his list for a two piece black swamp sometime around August.  I can't wait.

Mike builds outstanding bows.  The Black Swamp is my favorite.

David, that bow looks familiar. Is it the one with birdseye maple veneers?

No, Ron.  It has sassafras veneers.

I shot several of Mike's bows at tradfest as well....and liked them alot. Put in an order for a 54" black forest. Cant wait to get it.

What are the specs on his bows? I know he doesnt have a website, where can one find info to look over?

LBR

Mike is first rate.  I'm on the verge of calling him and telling him to build a bow for...the works...his bows are absolutely beautiful.

Mike is good people.  His work speaks for itself.  Practically no advertising, rarely see a used one for sale, wait time around a year.  Very reasonably priced, and are works of art.  He's on my short list.

Poor Mike was talking about retiring a year ago. I wonder if he ever will. I got my Treadway from mike in 1998 and made my first trad kill the next fall. My bow (62", 56#@26", slight R/D) was the next to the last one made of Mike's older style.
