tradlongbow I was ground hunting.  Just come back in.  The wind here in central illinois is biting cold, no deer moving in the area today, but did miss a turkey.  Thanks all.

Rob DiStefano

good quiver there, rik.  a 7 shooter is nice and it's good to tie in both ends of the quiver for an integral one piece removal.

i use an efa totem 4 and 5 shooters, + 1 clip-on judo.  efa's are known for their ultra lite weight and strong, durable frame.  if i needed more ammo i sling a safari tuff duiker loaded with another 8 rounds.   :D

hope to soon post the 4 arra model on my "new" miller 'old tom'.  :)

Sorry to here about the biting cold weather, It's about 80deg. and sunny here in Florida.

I hope it cools down after Thanksgiving because I have a week off, and plans to go hunting for a few days.

Toddster....you're not telling the whole story bud.....

Todd shot an 8pt buck last week as well but his camera messed up.....he's been a regular deer killer lately for sure...   :)

Rik's beautiful photos of his hunting forays have got me longing to get back up in the high country.  If I'm not working too much, my last chance at deer season opens in a week and we'll see.  Can one of you guys come spell me at work so I can take off?  Please?

here's a photo from October deer hunting....

Nate,

It's like balancing a fine bow.

A little work here. A little play there. Balance 'em both right and you won't have a care.

P.S. Good luck, and pick a teensy-tiny little spot!

Beautiful picture Nate!!  Wish I had the time to visit the mountains, someday in the near future I hope!

Hey guys, just curious after seeing the qwiver pics. How many of you guys use a strap on type qwiver? I want to try one of the small 3 arrow ones, but was curious about vibration/noise etc. Any issues?

Congrats Toddster!

Rossco your bow will kill deer just fine.  Personally I would set up an arrow weight over 500 grains and use a two blade.  I draw my son's Northern Mist Classic 44@26 and I have it shooting Heritage 150's with a Griz 190.  They weight about 580 grains.  Without question that set will kill any deer and yours will too.

Does anyone have pics of the Hill takedown riser and the standard riser together?

Tim,
I have an EFA four arrow quiver and a Slim Jim. If we get the hunt organized next week I can let you give'em a try.
