OK folks. I've avoided posting any pics on the HH Bug thread until now. Just thought that you'd like to see some pics of a one of a kind Limited Edition Hill. I say it is one of a kind because it is #47 of 50 "Wild Boar" bows and according to Craig, it is the only one he placed a silver inlay of a wild boar. Why? Because until this one, he didn't have any. He only did this one. Enjoy!

The other side with beautiful Vera Wood.

And of course the double overlay of snakewood and boar's tooth.

Does it shoot? Well, yes!

Just letting everyone know that I recieved my new to me Wesley Special today from (Ketucky Jeff).I can't believe how smooth these are to draw.Iv'e never shot a Hill before and I have to say I didn't really notice any hand shock with it.Maybe a little vibration. And it is so quiet.

The bow is marked 41#@27" and I normally draw my recurves and my Shrew to 26" but I'm only getting 251/4"-251/2" with this Hill.I scaled the bow today and it is 43#@27" and 39#@25".

Come on deer season,

David

The results of the rest of my herd, all 66" being shot 3 under at the same ten yards without the extra nock under the arrow.(6 arrows in each group)

Wesley Special 57@28

Osage Royale(ROI) 52@28

Keeper Kat(Cheetah) 56@28

It's looking good for making the switch from split finger to 3 under.

Need a new string for my Hill!! Any suggestions on where to get a good one?

Well, I received my Dave Johnson red cedar longbow yesterday, and she's a beaut...and it shoots as well, or better than it looks.

66" 45@28# - 3/8" of backset. 3 red cedar lams, bubinga & myrtle wood riser. Backed with black glass, and faced with white. Red pigskin grip and strike plate. 13 strand black & red dacron string.
It's accurate, quiet, and gentle in the hand.

After 30 years, Dave can still build an exceptional, American semi-longbow.

Me-thinks Sir Mudd might be getting a Sunset Hill to add to his stable.

Oh maybe it was that sense of the pressure being on in Nate's last post.

Beautiful looking bow Danny. Great shooting Mudd!!!

Jeff

Okie man

I'd like to see your new bow Lambow if you can repost the pics. It sounds like you got bit by the Sunset Hill bug too Roy. Do you have one of those coming too?

Great looking bows and good shootin Mudd. I ordered a Hill yesterday. Will put up some pics when it arrives. Now I have to wait on my Sunset Hill but the Hill will ease some of the pain of waiting. Love the pics Nate.

That's good shooting Mudd! It might be time to start up another Fun Shoot. How much did you have to move your nock point? I tried 3 under again with my Halfbreed, but I can't tolerate the buzz I get when I shoot it that way.

Mudd

I didn't move the nock point any.

I also didn't know I wasn't supposed to cant my bow shooting 3 under so I'm still shooting it exactly the same as before, canted.

The only change I made is I moved one finger's placement on the string.

Everything else is absolutely the same.

I'm still shooting out to 70 yards and I'm still missing at that range in the same places I was before moving my finger...lol

I've never used my arrow as a sighting tool and still don't.

If I'm doing this 3 under shooting wrong, I'll live with it...lol

God bless,Mudd

PS:I owe an apology to Rob for not reading and understanding what he wrote about the "normal" form for shooting 3 under. I am sorry Rob, please forgive me.
