A couple years ago somebody posted pictures of a bow they had won at a banquet or something if I remember right. It was a laminated glass bow but looked like a real snakey self bow. Anyone know who built this bow?

I think that Ron King of Fox Archery built that bow for the PBS Banquet...

And I believe at one time Whip owned it...

Memory is not what it used to be though...

That bow is fantastic, I had a long conversation with Ron King about the process of creating it and he said it was very challenging to tiller due to the limb curves.
It would be great to have one on the rack one day.
I love Bowhunting!!!!
Hunting for Bows that is   ;)

the one mark daniel built was a bit more snakey i think- and a great bow

I'm the proud owner of that bow now. It is a very nice shooting bow and a lot of fun to take to the range. The look on peoples faces while they are trying to figger out what they are seeing is priceless. Sooner or later they can't take it anymore and come over to ask about it. I've met some really nice people and had some great conversations because of that bow.

did you buy Rons one or marks one?
     :)

I have the one that Ron built...the one and only King Snake. Great bow.

I'm sure glad to hear that it's out on the range where it belongs!  I'm generally a recurve shooter, but I was so taken by the uniqueness of that bow at the PBS banquet I just couldn't help myself.  Much better that is in good hands now and getting used rather than hanging on my rack just looking pretty.
