Have a 59 Kodiak Reproduction.  The feather rest is about 1/4"away from the strike plate and is a bit crooked.  Should this be snug against the strike plate or should there be a small gap?  I've never used one before but the gap seems excessive.  If I was using micro-diameter carbons, I think they would barely be on the rest.  Thanks.

Would probably need to move it if you were shooting very skinny arrows.  But, if your current arrow rests on it, you're good to go.  The gap between the rest and the sideplate isn't needed for feather clearance because the entire arrow clears the shelf if the arrow is tuned properly.
