Other than hot melt glue, has anyone found another glue to use for gluing points or broad heads to wood shafts?

I haven't found anything better.

Epoxy, TiteBond, super glue, Duco and probably others.

Mostly depends on how bad you want them back off said shaft. On kids arrows I use super glue. On my own I use nothing but point glue because I plan on switching points a few times.

Have not found anything better than the hot melt from Big Jim.

I use smooth-on bow building epoxy when I'm making a bunch of arrows because it's faster and I have had good results.

Kustom King sells some glue that is like hot melt. It's in the form of a cake and is 1-3/4" tall and 1-3/4 round. It works great and I haven't had any problems with it.

x2, but I only use it if I don't have hot melt handy.

I am also on the hot melt wagon. I've tried all kinds of different glues; super-glue, duco cement, fletch-tite, etc.

All of these glues have ended up in the trash and with points stuck in my targets!

Until I switched to hot melt...have not lost a point since! And I also like it because it's easy to remove, just heat it up with a lighter or small torch and use some pliers!

I advocate epoxy. It's easy to use, don't need pliers to handle a hot point, plenty of time to adjust for alignment. Easy to change points by heating to break the glue bond.

Remember! No matter what glue you use the point needs to be cleaned of all oils, grease, or dirt before it's glued on a shaft.

For conveniencsee I use hot melt, if I want it to stay on I use Smooth-On MT-13 epoxy. I haven't ever lost a tip with the MT-13.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Thanks to all who replied.
I've been using hot melt for many years and was looking for possible new products I'm not aware of and also a short cut not to hot melt.
I might give epoxy and gorilla glue a try.

I like the glue sticks from 3 Rivers
It has a low melt point and remains somewhat pliable so you don't loose your heads when you stump shoot in cold weather or hit something hard like a bone or a tree

I like the hot melt little "cakes".  Not only for easy removal but also for adjusting point on shaft.

I have heard some guys use JB Weld, but I have not tried it yet.

Gorilla glue for me, never had one come off in 3 years since I started useing it, and thats thru  midwest winters & summers, they pop right off with heat, the glue expands so you don't need much or you'll be cleaning off the squeeze out. If you prep them right most glues work, but for me gorilla works best. The steel points usually have an oily residue preservative on them,I soak them in denatured alcohol for 5 min. then use wire brush to eliminate the resedue.
