Had a neighbor and his daughter show me a rack (both sides) that they saw fall off. The were driving a back road here by us in a freezing rain. A buck came out of the grader ditch, crossed in front of their truck then went in the other ditch, jumped a fence and when he came down both sides of his rack fell off. He showed the two sides to me and they both swore it was true. I believe them.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

I have found about 4 sheds in the last 10 years and I don't look for them on purpose.  I usually almost trip over them.

I've found a few at fence and ditch crossings where they jumped so I believe it.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

You guys are lucky.  Here in Colorado the muleys don't start really dropping until the end of Febuary.  I usually find some good deer sheds, but it involves miles of hiking.  What I am really excited for is April when the elk start dropping.

Found this yesterday with the dog, in 18" of snow up north. The points that were not covered in snow are chewed up, and one brow tine too (maybe when it was covered in the first snow?)

Here are a couple from my clover plot, they have spent some time there when we had snow on, digging  clover out of the snow.

Had a decent day Monday now that the snow is melting or firmed up enough to stay on top.

Even found a recent lion kill.

Tree killer you are a shed finding machine!

Got out yesterday in the rain, but ended up having a pretty good morning.  Found 8 antlers, but only one set.  Also found a small forked horn just before heading home for a total of 9 for the day.

IOne of the sheds I found yesterday was a gnarly antler, basically a big forked horn with a crabclaw.  Pretty sure I found an antler off this same buck two years ago, he was a big nasty 3x4 during the rut of 2013...and I found his 4pt side in February 2014.

That's amazing Ron - those are truly beautiful!!!!  Can I ask what you do with them all?  Do you display them or use them for any kind of projects?  Awesome stuff!

I've been running around here at work this morning marking things for my GIS stuff...dogs put on some miles, nothing to show yet.

They're out here somewhere, just gotta run across them down wind.

Put on 6 miles myself today in 6-10" of snow....dog probably did 5X that. Jumped two deer and and three turkeys.

No sheds found.

Hey Jonathan!  I mostly just collect them. some of the more unique antlers get displayed in the house. Some of the small sheds with an eyeguard I use for making a combo wingbone/antler turkey call. I use the antler for the bell of the call.
