Boy, I've had both and it would be a tough toss up! The Savannah is surprisingly quick and the Kanati is a smooth shooter.
My guts says it's best to support our local bowyers vs. big production companies.
Just one more step please!

I have a Kanati and it is a very nice bow as previously noted. However, if this is your first bow I think you are better off with a Savannah at 62". Shorter bows are touchy and can frustrate someone starting out. For a first bow go with the Savannah. The Kanati is in my opinion a nicer bow but the Savannah will be more forgiving and as such a better starter bow. If you can get a Kanati 62" long then go for it.

Anyone have an unstrung pic of the Kanati and Savannah to post for comparison? It would help me in deciding. Also, does anyone know what the riser lengths are on both of them. Thank you.

the only thing the savanna has over the kanati is you don't have to wait a few months to receive your bow, unless you find a used one

bigiron

buy the one YOU like the looks of the best, they both shoot very well

The Savannah is one of the best longbows out there designed by Larry Hatfield who is a living legend among bowyers. I have never shot a Katani but I am sure it is a fine bow. I have owned several Savannahs in various weights and would love to have another 60 pounder.

I have owned both a Kanati and a Savannah, both are great. The Kanati is better, trust me.
