Was planning on going to Manitoba this week, May 17-24, but had reconstructive ACL surgery March 5th. Two of my friends are up there now, and another friend and I rescheduled the trip for the same time next year. Was really looking forward to that hunt as the last time I hunted there was back in 2006.

I am in Hamilton, Mt. This morning. After stopping in at HH Archery, I will head over to Idaho and get ready for the trip in to bear camp. Can't wait!

I've been out a few times here and the bears are really on the move.One rub tree is just covered in hair-more than I've ever seen.I've been stepping over this log for many years but the other day,it looked like a bomb hit it.I haven't laid eyes on a bear yet but tons of sign and did come out the other day with 2 lbs of morels.Good luck guys.
