Recurve static or dynamic (photo)

In any case I'll measure increase in force from 28" to 31", so I will know what's going on. In any case, we are all pleased with this bow , thanks on your responses

The curves do not appear to be opening that much, if at all? I would be okay with calling it a static or semi-static recurve. This is just a matter of semantics. Obvious static recuves typically have additional material at the curve...but not always! RER's are static recuves with no additional material (i.e laminations of wood, glass or both) to make them rigid/static.

in the pic of the bow laying on the target the limp tips are pointing forward,, then the pic at full draw the tips are now pointed straight up and straight down,,, I thought if the tips move at all its a Dynamic design while keeping in mind depending on draw length and bow design the tips will either move a little or fully open up with the string almost coming off with say a 56" curve vs 66" curve @ 29".

also can someone correct me if I'm wrong but there is no such thing as semi-static its just someone's design that they decided to call semi-static and this is going back in time I guess but its either static if the tips don't move at all or dynamic if the tips move a little or a lot.

i just say semi .....is on half way . I'm not saying it exists that. I did not read that someone used that terminology. For semi-recurve I heard. So it inspired me. In any case, this bow is quite satisfying, no hand shock, and is not noisy .And how you Americans say is shooter , so thank you on your help to terminate this bow

its all good I was just curious if I had the whole design right but I've heard bows called semi static before and was curious.

as far as your bow it looks good and sounds like it shoots really good so I'll say that's a winner right there no matter what the design.

Tips are same when drawn as they are at brace. As the limb bends the angle changes but the tips are still bent same amount. Static bow and a nice one.

I would say static no doubt. Tips don't open up at all.
