I appreciate the response that this thread has gotten, but I must admit that I am a little suprised at the number of hunters here that hunt treestand; absolutely nothing wrong with it but I just have a hard time of moving around in a treestand with a longbow; makes no difference at all how one chooses to hunt just as long as you enjoy it to the max;

Let's hear some more..........

Niether.  Drive to a spot sneek in call for 5-30 minutes . Go 1/2 to a mile call for a bit go try another spot might need to drive to the other spot. Most of the time I know where im going to go and have a plan where to start and where to end the day. Some places are better in the am ,12 noon or evening. You cover lots of ground . Some times I hit the same spots in the same day some I hit only once a month. Spot and stalk for the other stuff. Now I want to go hunting.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Stillhunting!  Trees where I hunt are not very good for a stand.
If God didn't want man to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

Trees would ne the most successful but I love ground blinds and have been very successful in them too.  Very exciting to me to be on the ground and close!

I have had pretty much the same success the last couple years from tree stands and on the ground. Both have their advantages but I sure like carrying less crap into the woods.
