I agree with yornoc...ground is more fun

Trying to do more from the ground.  Our winds shift so often I have been more successful from trees.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Downwind of a active trail in a natural ground blind.

Most successful harvesting has been in treestands.

Most fun has definitely been on the ground in a ghillie.  I'm spending more and more time on the ground now, and while not as successful in taking animals I'm having a lot more fun.

Mostly treestands but am getting more into ground blinds.  As I get older, I am less comfortable climbing trees.

Tree stands, but planing on hunting on the ground a little in the evenings this yr. Got some very good spots with good trails that have blow downs close to them.

Tree stands for whitetails and spot and stalk on hogs and javelina.

I like to make things happen, rather than sitting in a tree stand or ground blind waiting for all the stars to aline!  So still hunting mostlly when the weather is right and trees when winds are changing often! ground blinds when ther are no trees for a stand and I have a good trail to watch!!  Most success still hunting in a light rain or high winds!!  I shot a few in their beds like this!!!!2 Last fall!

Spot and stalk, I must have ADD, I can't sit in a tree all day and call it hunting....

My most successful style of hunting is still hunting. I like ground blinds too. I judge a hunt as successful if I've had a great time, seen some fantastic country, spent some time alone in the mtns. & with God.          :campfire:

I no longer have to kill something to have had a very successful hunt.   ;)

I've seen some really interesting things from a ground blind too. As I get a bit older, I'm not as comfortable in a tree stand anymore.

Treestand, unless its windy. Then I'm sneaking, especially when Moose are rutting!
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.
