I only do if I am sitting all day, if your stands have good cover it is fairly easy to get away with. I have very few stands that I could not read in and not get away with it and the stands that I couldn't I would only sit a short time as I have a tendency to move too much after a long sit. Shawn

I do sometimes on long sits later in the year.  I also do while antelope hunting as it is often a dark to dark sit, which at that time of the year is 14 hours.  Books can keep me on stand longer and I figure I have a better chance at game when I'm in the stand vs. in camp.  I have read a lot of Louis LaMour novels on stand over the years. I take a Bible with me to read when I'm in my ground blind.
Proverbs 12:27
The lazy do not roast any game,
but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
