I went through something similar when my home place was sold 20 years ago. Long story short, stuff happens and life goes on.
I still miss hunting that land but I have found other spots and my brother and I joined a hunting lease a few years back. It's not what I had planned but it's working out.

i haven't spoken to the new owner yet. i know he has 3 sons and a bunch of grandchildren. i also know that they bow and gun hunt and that he was really impressed with the deer i've shot, all my racks and mounts are up there. i'm betting he won't let us hunt there at all, but i guess there's still a chance.
thanks for all the kind words everyone, it's a cruddy situation. i felt sick when i was up there taking all my stands down and taking pics, i still feel sick  :(
