Folks- I was going through some old broadheads and came across some old Sat. Titans SS full cutting four blades (main full cutting blade with a wicked insert; vented, 125 gr.) I used them 20 years ago.  The more I looked at them the more I was again impressed. ..

Should I be impressed?  They sure seem wicked.  What do you guys know?  Are they still making them?  Why don't we hear much about them?  Man they look good (I actually may have known something in my earlier days!  Wow)

I remember them. Tried to find some and have had no luck.

I used them for more years then I like to remember the 125gr ones were a great head a pain to get to a shaving edge back then before all the good sharpners. I still have some and carry them for backup shots and other critters that I dont want to use one of my other heads for. With a lansky sharpner I can get them wicked sharp I never broke one or lost a deer I hit with one and they flew great hit right were they schould. The 100gr ones were two weak IMO I shot a 9 point with one and that was the last deer I used them on the head bent like a banana I did get the deer but not what I want in a broadhead. I would use them if I were you I do not know if they still make them or not even if they did I would still use my Woodsman Elites or Stingers.   Widow

I used them for a couple of years. I still have about 4 in good shape. My only hangup was the bleeder would break on most animals. They did make a BIG hole.

I remember those,kinda resemble the Muzzy Phantom if I'm thinking of the right one. The main blade had that Deadhead and Silverflame shape.

Alum. ferrul way week. Shoot into foam and they would bend.

Most of the "poke on contact" heads have been exposed as poor performers.  The cutting edge entry gives better entry and bone splitting action.

Somebody in a sportsmen's road show used to take a green deer hide and set arrows in a solid base and push the stretched hide down on them one at a time.  Most of the conical pointed heads would collapse the aluminum shaft before entering the hide!  I don't remember which head he was selling - cut on contact obviously - but it was an interesting test.

I used them for around 2 years and pretty much every time there was contact the tip would curl pretty badly. I finally gave up on them and switched to heads with a beefier tip.

Shademt-   The SS heads curled?  Wow.   I have read reviews that stated they were not well made. . . so maybe the idea and concept were great- but not manufactured well.

Stumpkiller... the head we're talking about is a cut on contact and in the heavier models an absolute great broadhead.

Oop!  I apologize.  I was confusing it with the Satellite TNT and the earlier Satellites.  I do gluies and not screwies and should keep quiet regarding those.
