These are my first primitive arrows using bamboo,turkey feathers from stringstretcher, obsidean knapped arrowheads and buffalo horn nocks.
   
thes are my first spliced feathers following the instructions in our how-to resources section by bard1.

Brutal shafts!How are the nocks fitted?

The nocks have a small shaft cut down that fits inside the bamboo shaft. The shafts are really tough and these are spined out at 55-60.

Really nice job. I wish we could use stone points in Idaho to hunt big game, but we can't. You did a great job knapping and building your arrows. Even a helical on your feathers. Make sure to post pictures of your success using them.

Way to go hitman. I just started reading Pope's "Hunting with the bow and Arrow"... between that and these beauties, I'm startin to get the itch    :eek:
