Possum Head

Below are a number of carpet targets I've created at a cost of under $10.00.  Most are rolled into four layers, turkey and rabbit excluded.  I ran bailing wire from tree to tree, suspending most larger targets.  The cardboard heads were affixed to trees with wire as well.  After rolling into four layers each target was bound with wire in two places, completely surrounding the target.  Small stakes were driven into the ground behind smaller targets to affix heads.  The carpet was free!

My favorite is the bobcat, his expression is like "WTF" he's shooting arrows at me!  :bigsmyl:

Thanks for posting these pictures! Your ideas are going to make for some more targets in my yard. I like the idea of homemade.

Nice looking little range you've got there.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Very nice looking targets. Would the arrows penetrate and stay in from a 45 lb. bow? I mean not bounce off. I would like to try it. Foam targets are getting expensive.
