I know either will do the job if put in the right place.Need opinions on which one for whitetails out of lighter weight bows.I will be shooting a 44# Shrew Classic Hunter.

Thanks for the advice,

Tough to go wrong with either. Woodsman have more weight options, but those intercepters look like they put a mean blood trail down. I'd say whatever gives the best flight out of your setup.

With the right arrow tuned, you could easily shoot a 150gr Woodsman at that poundage.    Never shot Simmons so, cannot comment.

David, I shot through 4 deer this fall with the  woodsman elite using a 46# BW PMA. Close shots through all less than 15 yards and broadside.

SS Snuffer

I shot thru my last 4 deer with this set-up. I shot Snuffers for 15 yrs. but changed when I dropped to 42lbs.

Your set up was a major consideration when WWs were developed....that's what I'd go with for deer.

It depends on what you are hunting.  The most important wound is the exit wound for recovery.  So if your combo can push the WW and get an exit wound it will be great.

yep...I'm going to preach with the choir here.  Woodsmans.  They'll fly good and penetrate even better.

id go with the woodsmans at that weight, and at any weight. simmons design wouldnt be your best bet for high penetration with a lighter setup. ww elites are one of my favorite b-heads, they've done me well on deer

No offense, Luke, but I thinks that you may be confused on the penetration on Simmons Intercepters. They actually penetrate very well.
