I am not a photographer, I just couldn't get the pics to show the true beauty of this bow, but here it is !

The woods are birds eye maple, spalted maple and Osage,

HEY Dan! It was sure nice to chat with you and Kai yesterday. The pics look good and I can't wait for your feed back on shooting it in.
The bow is indeed another "Pure Michigan" bow for a fellow Michiganian. Here is the skinny:

Figured Birdseye Maple back, light hickory stain,to pop the eyes out.
Spalted Hard Maple belly,
Osage and Black Walnut core,
Osage and Figured Birdseye Maple I-Beam riser,Full custom contour grip with Goat skin leather wrap. 10 strand D-97 string by CTT(sorry Josh, thought I had one in stock). Thank you very much Dan. Have fun and send me some field Pictures.

Beautiful bow you have there, and I too can attest to Chuck's fine workmanship.

I bought a RER LXR, which has an awesome grip, but I wear the green ARMY wool gloves that need some kind of frictiion to keep from slipping, and the clear finish just wasn't cutting it.  So I got ahold of Chuck and he took the riser home with him at The Kzoo show, and a couple days later I received the perfect addition to my riser.  He had put on a leather grip for me, and all I told him is that I didn'y want white or black leather, but somewhere in the middle color.  When I opened the box, I revealed a color scheme of leather that was the same color as the 2 things in my life that bring me the most comfort...My leather recliner and Red Wing boots, so how could I go wrong.

I love the job, the stitching is fantastic, and it now is also on my list of most comfortable things in my life.

Chuck didn't make the bow I bought, he made the bow I bought...BETTER.

I have come to realize in life there are things that you just shouldn't attempt, and installing a leather grip, to me, is on that list.  I'm glad I had Chuck do this for me.

Looks like a great shooter. Nice Chuck.

Do you build pure Buckeye bows? Now that would mean something south of the border. I guess we wouldnt want the wood sent to michigan to be built tho. Might cause it to twist and crack!  :scared:
You'd have to travel

Nice Job

Chuck makes a good bow and is a good person to boot. I really like that Michigan bow and woods he used. Hope to own one of them one day.
