I got a new bow that I think or pretty much know needs new tips. Can somebody give me a number I can call and see who can help me out?

If I have number I can send pics with phone, but I do not have a camera to post them online.

The bow is a Bear, Grizzly recurve

Oh...those Bear Grizzlys are junk once the tips go bad...you should just send that thing on to me for disposal JUST JOKING - I collect them.

I second Joe Lasch at praire traditions.

If you have some guts and time you can do them yourself.  There are threads about this in Trad History and Collecting, and maybe some other forums too.

Good luck.  Grizzlys are hard to go wrong with!  Do you know the year?  Color of the glass, length and serial #?  Sorry, I just really like old Grizzlys

Sure I believe it is zebra wood, its 54", 45#/28".
The serial # is 5P6488. In fact if you can give me any information on it I would be more then thankful.

It looks like a pretty sweet little bow.

Can I see some pictures of your Bear Grizzlies?

Good looking griz you have there. It is a zebra wood one. 58" amo.  Thinking its a 1965 model year.  Nice bow and one worth putting some time and money into.

CavScoutArcher is correct.  You have a 1965, and a great one at that! Check out this thread for pics of most of mine and some really great ones from other trad gangers.

Be sure to see page 2 of the post for a bunch of zebrawood 1964 and 1965's!!!

The year you have is very popular because of the zebrawood.  Many folks (including me) feel that era of 58" inch Grizzlies are really fine shooters too.

Here's a thread of my latest Grizzly purchase which is a 1959.

Can you show pics of the damage on the tips?
Send them to 330-730-6478. If Joe or Rich or Doc are too busy, I can fix them for you.

Yep, send it to Joe! Just sent my daughter bow there to get refinished. He does great work. If you look at his prices , I believe I saw a price in there for new tips.

Tatorbones - that is a great looking bow! I've always liked the bear bows with zebrawood.  I would like to get one just like that someday. Congrats on your purchase.

Tatorbones

Thanks for all your help guys. Hopefully I can get it fixed. Maybe I'll borrow a camera from somebody and post pics of the tips

Oh tremendously, I'm thinking that I could use your help to get them fixed. I will wait until my next pay check to mail it to you if I can. As well as send you some money when it is finished. I think it will be about two weeks or so then I'll be good to go. my number is 940-297-9012 if you can send me your address and information.

PM sent.

I'm not able to get the pictures from the text message to my computer to post the pics of the tips. Not a big deal just can't post them for others to see.
Don't worry about the money, just send it when you can and I'll get it back to you so you can shoot it.
