Takedown case recommendations ?

Looking for the gangs recommendation on a takedown bow case, it's for a longbow, the limbs are 26.5 long, the riser is 15.5 long.

I have a pair for my motorcycle that I use as side bags. Now I'm thinking I need one for my takedown!

Can't get any better for protection.

Maybe not exactly what u'r after but a TD can be rolled up in a bath mat or doubled towel , it fits snugly in PVC tube with a cap on one end an screw cap on the other and is convenient. U can attach kitchen type door handles for hanging or tying or carrying also and can go on the Bike

Safari Tuff makes a great takedown case. I can carry two bows in mine.

This is not what I was thinking about using, but for the price and simplicity of it, it does have my attention !

Do you ant a hard case or a soft case? SafariTuff makes a wonderful soft cased which, if you travel, fits inside a duffle just fine.

Since I travel mostly by truck and don't need a hard case I love mine. One riser 2 limb sets couple of strings. It also fits in my duffel surrounded by clothes.

It don't really matter, I see obvious advantages to both styles with protection of a hard case being nice, but yet I only travel to a couple of shoots a year (no flying) so a soft case would work fine for that. It's nice to be able to ask others opinions before buying, sometimes others see things in a different (better) way than I'm looking at it.

Hard cases just for bows seem rather limited and overly expensive.

Try looking at the hard sided cases available for break down shotguns, get some good foam and cut to fit, and there you go.

Bought a Darton aluminum arrow case for about $40.
Removed one arrow holder. It holds my 3piece t/d recurve, 3 arrow quiver, tab, pocket quiver and 9 arrows. Fits in the paniers for horseback up the Rockies.

Thats exactly what I use. I have a double shotgun case I use for my bows
