Well After hearing all these stories about lucky people getting bows given to them it has happened to me.

Well after ordering my first custom bow, I went and had to work the score board for my colleges basketball game. I mentioned this to Larry the guy who keeps the books and he mentioned he had an old bear recurve. Larry said he does not shoot anymore and he would bring it to me if I wanted it. I froze and was like of coarse I would like another recurve.

So at the next game today he brought it to me today the next game. Lucky me

I'm trying to post pics now....

IF you have any information about this bow please let me know. I need a string for it so any heads up about a string would be awesome also.

If it is easy where is the fun. That is why I use a stick and string. The only sight I need is with my eyes.

Try using photobucket for your pics, it's simple and free.

Does the bow have a name on it like Grizzly, Kodiak, ect.??

I've got a late 60'ish Bear Grizzly and I love it. Nothing wrong with those old bows and there are still lots of the originals hanging around in people's closets, garages, and attics from days gone by. You see them show up on certain auction sites quite frequently.

Nice score, I hope you bought a lottery ticket that day.

Their I believe I have fixed it, and yes it is a Grizzly. Anybody know about the history of these bows?

Looks like a Zebra wood grizzly. I think those were 1965's. Great bows I have a 66 that has killed serveral deer and moose.

Nice looking bow.
Got lucky indeed!

I need a string for it though, that is my next step. There is some cracking where the string lays in the tips. How much do you think it will cost to get fixed?
