I can't wait till oct1. the feeling you get when you catch your first glimpse or you hear the crunch of leaves under foot is enough to keep me hunting for another 24 years god willing.
not bragging but I have killed well over 100 deer with the training wheels on now its time to put on the big boy pants and get it done with Trad gear and appreciate it even more.

Get them nerves rattled at some squirrel or turkey  before hand.
Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

Gonna give turk hunting with my bow a good go this year. Now if I can only get on some birds, I think the yotes have worked them over, and there are next to take out!

i'm with ya, after 25 plus years of compound bows i've went to a traditional bow. i have to say it's humbling to say the least, i am not consistent(hopefully that will come). planning on losing some arrows, but the anxiety is really starting to build up.

It's not squirrel season and none of the property I hunt have turkeys and the public land is by draw that allready happened.
