inexpensive grip idea

I tried this and it works well for a durable rubber grip. It's Duplicolor, spray on truck bed liner. I just taped off the area I wanted the grip and gave it 3 coats. I wouldn't do this on really high dollar bows, but if you have really high dollar bow then high dollar grips wouldn't be a problem, right?

Great idea! That would look way better than the inner tube wrap on my usual hunting bow. Gotta love the rubber grip when it starts getting cold.
About how thick do you put it on??

Appears to be a great idea.

Hope there are no chemical properties that would attack finish, wood, resins, glue or anythingelse the bow is made from.

i like that. i was actually thinking of putting truck bed liner on my climbing treestand to deaden the sound

The truck bed liner would be great for the trree stands, it really stops any sqeaking in place that metal to metal/metal to treebark friction occures. one could even cover an entire bow with it if it's, like one of those ugly flea market buys for $5 and it's beat to heck. It would make a nice non reflective finish.

I painted a motor ccycle with it after I got the dents in the fuel tank smoothed out. It's my TW 200, I use it to zip around town, it added a rugged, indestructable look to it.

Great I dea Mike!

I used something similar to cover my entire Wesley Special that was in my mind too light of a color to carry into the woods.

It worked great, never had any negative affects on the bow and after the season was over it was bad to clean up either.

That would work good on metal handled bows, to warm them up a bit.

Looks good Mike. I just was turned onto a inexpensive grip myself from a good Trad gang brother. For $3 you can get a "What-A-Grip" they are for tennis rackets actually. Walmart sells them.

They are made not to be slippery with a sweaty hand. Works great and you can take it off if you want.

Good idea. I sprayed my entire Quinn Stallion riser with truck bed liner. I looks really good and is really durable, so far. And the finish doesn't reflect light...good for hunting.
