I should have mine later this spring. You won't find a better bowyer to deal with than Marty. It doesn't hurt that his workmanship and bow designs are tops.

I'll let you know how it shoots, but thats a long time to wait... for both of us.

I will send you or post a few pics as soon as I am back to my computer. Marty builds a great bow. I own an Ossabaw and it has been a killer. I have one on order and look forward to shooting it. You can't go wrong with his bows!

RC

Fine bows that shoot good. Marty is a great guy as well. You can`t go wrong .RC

Steelhead

BWD

Shot the Ossabaw and Wassaw. Both fine shooters with excellent fit and finish.

Marty made a 66" Cumberland for me last year and I love it!  Great workmanship and a great guy to deal with - very "up-front".

Highly recommended!

2 hot LB's I'd have if I could sneak them past Ruth...Apex Predator & Protege. I know Marty pretty well & Lee a little. Might be a lot shorter read if you could find something bad on either one. If you're thinking Apex.., get on with it. You ain't getting any younger.

I have no photos but I have a string follow Cumberland that Marty made as a bow blank and I then finished. Boo cores, Red Cedar lams, Osage and Zebra wood riser.......47# @ 29" 66" long. It is a joy to shoot, smooth and silent!

Nick, I have a Sapelo model. It is sweet, and as RC stated earlier Marty is a great person to work with and builds a beautiful bow.

Yep Marty is a great guy and builds a sweet bow, you should check out his latest reverse handle bows as well, they shoot really nice!
They'll be no quitters till we bag us some critters!

Savage

Apex Predator makes an awesome bow. I had one of his longbows. Marty does excellent work. If you buy from him you will not be dissappointed. He is also a great guy to deal with, very personable.

I really appreciate the fine words guys!  I'm only building 12-15 customer bows per year now, but put my heart and soul into each one.  One day when I think I can go full time, I will quit my day job.  :)

I have never had the chance to shoot one of Marty's bows, but have had the chance to follow his work and share some ideas with him over the last few years.  From what I've herd and seen Marty's bows are top notch!

myshootinstinks

I've owned the Ossabaw and now own a Cumberland. Both are fine bows, well crafted, and shoot like they're supposed to.     Here's a couple of pics of the 68" Cumberland I received several months ago.

Nice Cumberland.  I have one ordered - it should be here at the end of July.  Would you share a little bit about it's performance (i.e. how much hand shock, cast, etc)?

Rick,
Handshock is all but nonexistant, the best of any straight limbed bow I've owned. Cast is very good, speed is excellent especially considering it's a 43# bow. It shoots 525 gr cedars real well.
This one is bamboo limbs, osage veneers, bone tips, and a birdseye / curly maple riser. The wrap I installed is deer skin and the grip fits me well.  This is an easy bow to shoot well and I really can't find any fault with it.

Well then, it sounds like you need to change your display name!
