RAGHORN 3

Finally started to find what I came to find...

RAGHORN 3

After burning lots of calories hanging stands and checking out lots of possible drainages.. It was time for some refueling and rest.

Some camp practice.

Moved a stand early October and found this 16' up next to me.  Only the second time in my life I've ever seen this in the woods.

Frenchy- Is that a light attached to your bow? Can you explain?

Cyclic-Rivers

Manny, That tree looks Familiar.  Were you possibly sitting the Keep out Stand?    :biglaugh:

Raghorn, That is a  light on the bow for night Hog Hunting.

Raghorn, like brother Charlie explained this is a flashlight attached to the bow with a switch taped to the riser. Wild pigs are hunted mostly at night in Georgia, where it is legal to hunt them at night with a light.

The flashlight is used to find and get a good anchor on the target.

Hope this helps,

Hopewell Tom

I think we're going to need the particulars on that trophy mouse, Charlie.

Tom,  My little brother and I were target shooting from the porch of the cabin.  My dad had been complaining about the mice eating the cabin minutes before.  This mouse ran out from under the porch and onto the pine tree at  roughly 12-13 yards.  My little brother mentioned something about "too bad we cant shoot him".  he had 15 dollar compound arrows. I  had GT Blems and footed them. After his Comment i simply drew, aimed and shot.  I never heard my brother so excited in his life. I kept my mouth shut knowing I couldn't make that shot twice in a row.

Relax,

You'll live longer!
