All you guys that have an Abbott longbow, I need your pics and opinions. I shoot D-style longbows Northern Mist, JD Berry , Liberty,  Great Northern and 7 Lakes longbows.

I was just wondering how the Abbott longbows compare to the bows I shoot now. (smooth draw, quiet, good cast, hand shock if any and hits where you are looking)

Haven't had the opportunity to shoot one yet, but I keep looking for one to try, they don't come up for sale too often.

Thanks for any info you can give me,   Alan

Alan, I have shot an Abbott longbow very good
bow for the money. Check out his web site he
has a lot of stock bows for sale.

An Abbott is all I shoot these days. For quality and value received, I don't think they can be beat.
What weight and length are you looking for?

Tie two birds together; though they have four wings, they can not fly.

Guy, most of my bow are 54# @26"draw, 62 and 66" in length, but would like to try a little lighter weight, like maybe 52/50.
How do yours compare to other d-style bows.

I'm not a real big bow trader. The only other longbow I've shot is a Pete George, which is a classic Hill style longbow. While I like the George, it's looking for a new home as I like the Abbott a whole lot better. The handle fits me better and it shoots easier for me.
