I probably have a half dozen Bateman Can't Pinch tabs, some are may favorites because they are super slick and well broken in. I don't think a person can wear one out in a lifetime of shooting but the elastic strap wears out in 3 or 4 years of use.

It appears the elastic strap is riveted on and may be difficult to replace. Anyone had any luck replacing the elastic on on one of these tabs?

Sure would like to keep using my favorite tabs but need new elastic to do so.

I found the same thing happens too. I just pull it tighter when it happens. One of my Bateman tabs is 10 years old.

Bateman's are my favorite tabs.

I only found about them a year ago so I have not had time to wear out the elastic band.

I want to stop this awful problem before it happens to mine.

If I have to I will apply for a Federal grant to study this problem....lol

I prefer the single finger hole Bateman cordovan tab,no elastic to wear out with this style.I bought mine at Valley Traditional Archery,a sponsor here too.

I agrree with JRY309, The Bateman tabs with the leather finger hole are far superior to the elastic.  They are the best tabs I have ever used.  I might lose one, but I have never wore one out.

The Bateman Cordovan tab with finger spacer is my tab of choice. The elastic will stretch after a while. I just tie it off and cut off the excess. If I get three or four years out of a $12.00 item I don't go to a lot of trouble fixing the old one. I always have a couple of new ones on hand. Besides that our traditional archery suppliers need the business, and I'm not talking about the big box retailers. If we don't support them they won't be there when we need'um. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.  

I use the 3 under tabs by Bateman and love them. But, the first thing I do is cut off the elastic band and replace it with either 1/4" nylon strap or a piece of para cord. Just adjust the strap or para cord to fit your finger and super glue in place, works great for me. YMMV

Find yourself the ring from a key chain, the kind you have spread the steel apart and thread the key through. Just get one that is a bit larger than your finger. Then remove the elastic and thread the key ring through. Now you have something that should be permanent.

I use the same tab, but I end up with a different problem.  On mine, the little tab on the rubber finger seperator tears out where it goes through the tab.  I've never had a problem with the elastic because the finger seperator goes first.

Whip, I fixed that problem by putting a small flat head screw in the divider to hold it together.

Shooting 3 under I just remove the rubber separator as soon as I get one. Don't need it, don't want it. No problems.

I shoot a Bateman 3 under tab. I don't like the elastic. I cut it off and use the stretchy elastic cord (like on arm guards). I thread it thru and tie a knot and then do it again. Might have to mess around with it a little to get the cord the right length.

I do the same as John Krause,I use a piece of shock cord.

I drill out the rivit and remove the elastic. Then attach an o-ring that fits my finger using a peice of leather and a rivit. Just like the old neet ring tab.

I replace the elastic with a red velcro tie I buy at the box store, their 1/2 in wide by about 4" long. You may need to enlarge the hole to get in thru. If you put the fuzzy side to the inside it it will is soft on your skin and also it adjustable. The tie has a large end with a slot. I cut this end off and just feed it around.
Very simple to use, When your finished you have the best tab available.
Also so if you order direct from Bateman you can ask for different thickness of leather.

You can buy the replacement separator from Bateman and he will send you a diagram that shows how to modify a pair of needle nose pliers by grinding them to fit the separator so it can be pulled through the hole that is cut for it after the old damaged separator is removed. If you really want the tabs repaired and cannot do it yourself, send them back to Bateman and pay him to do the repairs. Better to have a broken-in tab repaired than to buy a new one, even if the cost is the same.
