Here was my first attempt in Iraq two years ago. I was actually shooting the bag target when someone thought it would be funny to distract me with the foam piece. Turns out I impressed him pretty good. Impressed myself as well. Haven shot any aerials since that deployment.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Turned out to be pretty fun, only problem is that misses resulted in the arrows sailing over the barriers or impact them and end up destroyed. I had the culprit dispatch there crew to go retrieve them outside the wire. Great times.

I shoot aerials from time to time. It's great fun. Others are correct about one's form suffering while doing it though. But, after I get done with the aerials, my "less-than-perfect-but-good-enough" form gets back to normal when practicing on stationary targets.

those are some awsome videos and pics. does anyone have a launcher made up that if your practicing by yourself your able to launch the target and still have plenty of time to shoot?

none of our 3d targets in my yard have any heads cause we take em off and use em for aerials. LOL

Batman, if any of my kids shot that well I would at least cut them arrows that fit. he didn't miss those 2, his arrows were too long.   Awesome.  John dill needs to be concerned.
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Shot some targets at the ATA show. They had this product that was like a giant clay pigeon thrower for foam targets and it was a blast! Would really have liked to do it with a more high powered bow but it was a ton of fun!!!

One day on Adak I shot at 17 ptarmigan. It was early season, the birds stupid, and I had a dog that found my arrows.

Net score for the day,  1 wing feather.

It was a kick.

YES YES YES!  I love shooting aerials and look forward to our club shoots when we break out the disc thrower.

This is the last aerial target I shot. 16 January 2011, was moving along pretty good.     :D

Don't get to shoot at target discs much, most my practice is done on live targets.

Shot this one with a 54" 55#@28 Shrew I got from Andy Ivey (Tradtusker) last year.

Nice my man....real nice!

Never shot areals either.....but this was my last one.

Can't remember the last time I shot up at any steep angle before I shot that bear 2 seasons ago.  It was probably 2004 when I went squirrel hunting, I shot at some squirrels at steep angles in trees, and got a few, so it was probably 5 or 6 years prior.

I was standing about 6 feet from the tree and the bear was 70 foot up looking over at me in the 'U' of the trunk.  I had to put it just above the tree, and just under the chin.....gotta love instinctive shooting!!!
