I have a fellow in church that does a little archery for reinacting but expressed intrest in maybe getting a long bow & eventually try bow hunting, the problem is ofcorse like many is money.

He's left handed & I sent him an email with the link of Maddog & 3Rivers to give him some ideas but the thought come to mind.
I have 2 old left handed compound bows that is in need of some TLC, one of which is a Bear White Tail, I know some out there do some Warfing where they can turn an old compound bow into a really nice T/D Recurve or possibly T/D Long Bow.

Where would I get that info at & would it even be possible for me to build using the Risor of the White Tail to make him a decent long bow out of it.

If it didn't cost me much of anything, it was possible & he was willing to buy a set of limbs I'd be willing to do this for him.
Zona Custom Recurve: 60" 49# @ 27.5".
Sky Sky Hawk Recurve: 60" 47# @ 27.5".

Eugene you could be looking at a heck of a project that may end up costing more than a good cheep longbow.I know PSE and some other companies make good inexpensive longbows. You can always search the classifieds and buy one from there. You can also get a LB from Cabelas for around $200. What does a set of limbs cost?
Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.
