I spoke with Allen recently and he should be buidling again soon I reckon.
I have had three of his bows and all were just superb.

He is one of the top two  bowyers I have dealt with and his Liberty English is just a dream to shoot...but I can see a Chief getting added to the stable really soon...or is that a Contender ... or maybe another English .....

Great guy building a truly outstanding bow.

Truly great bows. I hope he is building again soon.

I could make room on the bow rack for a new Liberty.

I spoke with him recently and he did say he would be back building soon.  I am looking forward to it.

This is some good news!  I've shot a couple Liberty's and foolishly didn't buy one.

He made one for my brother( BEAUTIFUL BOW ).

Ive got an email into Allen, no response yet,  just wanting to be on the list if in fact he does get back into making bows.

Ive seen a few for sale used, but never in my specs.

Can some one tell me the differences between, the Liberty, English, Rogue, Chief etc.

Orion

Not familiar with the Rogue, but the English is a straight, Hill style bow.  The Contender is a mild r/d design, and the Chief is a more radical r/d design, still not extreme r/d IMO.

Butchie

Love my English.  All I've hunted with for the pat 4 years!

I am proud to say that Allen is my friend, and equally proud to say I have several of his English longbows and a couple Contenders. Talk about craftsmanship, beauty and performance!

I had one of his bows and never should have sold it.

The craftsmanship of the Libertys I have seen is or at least should be the standard of excellence. Said by a perfectionist \\ when I judge my bows that I build my criterion is would they pass the Liberty inspection.
God Bless you all, Steve

I just got an e-mail from Allen a couple of days ago, and as you have read above, he is starting to build bows again. He told me that he has really modified the "Chief to a true hybred. I sure would like to see one. I have owned 6 of his bows, and have 2 left. Both are "Chiefs". A 50# @28" that is 64", and a 58# at 28" that is 68". as far as I know the only 68" "Chief". We made it special for SCA Archery. His bows are everything anyone would want and more. And I'm glad I can call him my friend. Whiteape

Below is the new bow from Allen,  the "Edge" it is next to a staight handled "English".  I think he still may make the Chief, as this bow is quite a bit more radical in limb design-

This is Great News !! Hopefully when Allen is ready, he'll have a Web-Site again ...
