Jerry Pierce Choctaw, just so I could see my late friend again...     :(        :(

Traditional bowhunting is often a game of seconds... and inches!

Hit-or-Miss

Bear Kodiak Hunters, in Bubinga, with the high grip profile like the 68 or 69. One of the best shooting Bears ever made, and IMHO, better than the SK. My 68 is like an extension of my hand, a perfect, fast handeling bow for quick, instinctive shooting at game.

John R. Graves

A Yellow Jacket "Wasp" longbow made by Gerald Johnson, I bought it through Raptror Archery.  Also one production bow, a Martin "Saber", that thing is fast!

ArkyBob

Arkansas Stick Caddo by Terry Hughes. I know the Caddo is made now by Roy Hall and it's a fine bow just not quite the same to me. I'm fortunate to own 2 of Terry's  Caddos.

Heck I'll add my idea.
I think one of the most under rated bow was the Bear Hunter.         I had one once ( the bow I started with) & let it get away. I'd like to see them again.

I'm sure it's been said, but the early curved bed Bighorns and Wing Presentations.

Earl Hoyt 4 or 5 PMH . Beautiful, smooth and super accurate.

Babbling Bob

1960 to 1961 Black Widow recurve but not with painted risers like the originals.  I would like the remake to have wider limbs. The original limbs were real skinny. Riser shape was fantastic and the risers were not an overkill of heavy wood as they were just a few years later. 1963 risers were way too large for my taste. The early Balck Widows were simple nd fantastic shooters.  Best design they ever had and I don't understand why they don't produce them now.  Lots of the top shooters I used to watch at the regionals and large field archery events in the early sixties won tournaments with them.  The Wilson Brothers themselves were good shooters and would show up at the Southwest Open.

Also would like to see the 1962 Kodiak.  It is already being reproduced with great success, but have to wait a very long time if you order one. Too old to wait so I have a '61 and '62 originals I shoot and like.

Does anyone have pics of a Rocy Mountain recurve? With so many people saying how great they are I am curious to see them.

Chek-mate hunter I 62" riser with 60" limbs 49&42lbs@28

Dean Torges bamboo backed osage with his fantastic dye jobs on the wood.  :)   He never sold one to my knowledge...but wish he was still making them so I could hopefully get one and put it next to a favorite from Joe Mattingly and John Strunk.  :)

If you want to see pretty much exactly what the Rocky  Mountain recurves looked like go to this link.  They are re-creations.
