I have a Garmin Rino 530hcx and I love it!
Schafer Silvertip 90#@28"

Genesis 27:3  Now then, get your weapons--your quiver and bow--and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I also use the Garmin Etrex Vista HCX. Garmin has always been a good unit and updating the software is really easy. I'm sure most of the other units out there work pretty well also I have just gotten used to the ergonomics of Garmin.

Good luck.

speedwalker

Garmin. Best models for any price range.

The sun and a compass. Believe it or not I have never used a GPS yet. I'll have to break down one of these days but I'm afraid I'll lose my instinct!

I've had the Garmin 60CSx and be impressed with it's performance and features. I believe they came out with a 62CSx. I don't know the differences. Might want to check them out.    Still haven't found one that has the "Find Elk" feature though.
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Ky Double Lung

I use the Garmin Etrex Summit downloadable with color screen. Bass Pro Shop had a sell on them with topo map included back a few months ago.

Do yourself a favor , which ever one you use learn how to use a compass with it. If you depend completely on a GPS in a huge country you can get in a bind.

Since I coon and squirrel hunt with mountain curs, I bought the Garmin tracking system, which is basically a garmin 60 with the gps tracking system for the collars.  It has never lost signal, and got me out of the woods, day and night from quite a long ways.  I had the etrex before that, and on a cloudy day, or with heavy tree canopy, it was useless, had to climb up on a hill more than once to get a lock with the satellites.  Go with the 60 and you'll never be lost.

I'd go with the 60csx....

The 60CSx is getting hard to find! If you find a good deal..you best by it! Jason

I have the Gramin Oregon and it is unbelievable, map w/ contours etc. Excellent and great battery life. The reception is superb and takes only about 5 seconds to lock on to great satellite reception....did I say awesome? I compare it to my etrex legend and really there is NOOOO comparison. The ease of use navigating screens and using is great. Color screen. I love it. Just use a finger nail to scroll and click. Great.

I used it in the CO mountains this past year for a week and it is better than Rhino, Etrex, and others I have tried in MANY respects

I really don't need a GPS very often, but I did spring for a Bushnell "Backtracker" on the advice of a friend. Less than $60.00, easy to use and carry. All I need at this time.
