If this is the wrong place for this please move it to where it belongs.

I have 10 Webelos who will all be earning their Arrow of Light award. I have sen plaques but don't really get excited about them. I would like to give them a traditional arrow. I have seen some wood arrows that were crested or decorated somehow and fletched with turkey feathers and have a knapped head on them. I would like to have "arrow of Light" written on them along with my scouts names. If someone does this or has contact info for me that would be a great help. I have a little over a year to get them made so there is no big rush but the sooner I start th less likely I will pressure someone to get them finished.

Other ideas are always welcome.

Thanks for the help

I know there is a program availavle for your home computer, and then you print what you want on clear sticker paper.  I have yet to do this, but I have seen it completed, and it look superb.

Don Ward with Eagle's Flight Archery might be able to assist. I've seen his cane traditional arrows with knapped heads. They look fantastic. He's a sponsor on here. He does the whole thing including the knapping. Super nice person to deal with and a great ambassador to traditional archery for youth.

For the AOL I would consider using dowels instead of cane, fletch and crest them yourself with real turkey feathers, and make your own trade points out of steel stock cut out and mounted with sinew wrapping in a slot cut in the arrow.  Cut self nocks too.

They aren't designed to be shot and will look nice.  I would think cane arrows and knapped points would be a little pricey unless you run into a benefactor here online.
