"cordovan tab at 3rivers, its is inexpensive, durable and gives a smooth release with its cordovan face."  My fingers were going numb with a glove, this tab made it all go way. No more problems. I love it

cordovan tab from 3 rivers, lately been trying black widow  both split fingers

I too, am open to discernable improvement.

The cordovan Bateman works great for me.

It's relatively cheap price is merely a by-product. They will out last the energiser bunny.

I've read a couple of threads where the term "deep hooks" was used to describe the grip on the string.  I have always placed the string about in the middle of the outer half of my first finger pad.  Does deep hook mean you are gripping the string in the first knuckle bend?

For years (like 35) I've used the Neet calf hair Kant Pinch tab.  In the last few years they have either been getting weak cows or someone is cloning their style with cheaper material.  Even the rubber liner pad tears.  After tearing my second new one in as many months (and the hair was gone after a few dozen shots) I tried a few alternatives.  So far I am most pleased with the Black Widow split & smooth.  I did add an anti-pinch leather finger spacer to one.

Kustom King sells a glove they market for extreme weather, black nylon on outside, cotton inside finger tips, and slick neoprene(?) on fingers. very flexible and you can really feel the string. It feels like a driving glove, but, I have no problem with finger soreness shooting 60# plus bows.

The American Leathers Glove is the best I have ever used.

Just picked up a BW 3 under tab today and it is awesome! Thanks for the test run PD!

I have shoot or tried most of the gloves and tabs on the market.  The one that I like the best are the gloves made by Alaska Bow Hunting.  They offer two different synthetic covered finger tips and I like both.  They are thin enough to feel the string and arrow while still protecting the tender fingers. The second reason that I like them is that the material will not roll up on the string and I get a smooth clean release.

Like someone else has already said, the American Leathers gloves are top notch and will last you a very long time. I have tried several other gloves and up until I bought the Full Shot glove made by American Leathers, I was wearing them out pretty fast.

It will not be possible to buy one for under 30 bucks though, unless someone happens to be selling a used one in the classifieds for that price. My opinion is that you get what you pay for and I think it will outlast about anything out there and fits the description of what your looking for.......except for the price. Actually, if you spend 30 bucks on two or three gloves and they don't last as long as one of the Americal Leather gloves.......it comes out actually being cheaper. I know for me, I have found the glove that works for me and it is going on it's second year of use.
