Arrow Master Quiver slight modification.

I have had a little problem with the Arrowmaster Quiver sliding down my sloped shoulders. A couple of weeks ago I made a slight modification that seems to really help keep the quiver in the position I place it. I thought others might have the same problem. Below is my slight modification.

2" down from the top of the arrow opening and 1" in on the body side of the quiver I punched a hole and installed a grommet. I slipped a double ended carabineer through that and just clip the strap through the other end of the carabineer. This seems to put a little tension on the strap and keep it where I want it even when I have stuff in the pocket.
The carabineer is called a Nite/Ize  S-Biner. Hopefully the pictures will help explain what I have written.

Sweet alteration...might be soomething they incorporate in the future for adjustments!

Thanks for the heads up. I have had the same problem so I will also follow suit with your addition. You should send this recommendation on in to the makers of Safari Tuff. It's a great quiver.

I guess I'm confused.  Why don't you just tighten up the strap and/or clip the strap carabiner to your belt loop?  I also have very sloped shoulders and haven't had a problem with the quiver.

Pete,

I stump shoot alot, when I clip it to my belt loop and bend over to pick up an arrow it pops off my shoulder. I often wear a lumbar pack and a binocular pouch in the front. When I would have it loose enough to fit around these it would flop off my oppisite shoulder when bending over. I was always trying every adjustment I could think of (granted my thinking process is somewhat limited) but I was still a little frustrated. This took care of the issues for me, as they say, your milage may vary.

All the best, Terry K.

Pete, I have done like you said but find if I drop to a knee real quick or start to crawl the quiver has a tendency to slip down or off. I really like this quiver though and I am not disappointed in it at all. I have played with hooking the carabiner further forward on a belt loop and sliding the carabiner strap up and down but have not found the solution yet. This looks like Terry might have a possible answer. It may just be slight physical differences in our build or how we walk. More than one person has asked me if I hurt my leg and am limping and I just have to say nope it's just how I walk. I jumped out of a lot of planes and slicks for Uncle Sam many years ago, so some of my parts don't work as well anymore. Best to you though and Happy Hunting.

Had to add an around the torso strap on mine. Bend over. Flop. Bend over. Flop. Bend over. Flop. All right allready! Sheesh!

OK, now I understand and, yes, that happens to me to.  Yep, you are correct - everytime you bend over you need to hold the quiver.  I'll have to try this fix.

I was trying to envision a different scenerio.  Just when I think I'm OK I realize that I still have OldFartsDisease and it's not going away anytime soon  :)
