I decided late last year to hang up the compound and xbow as archery was loosing it's fun. I started shooting the old York and it really had me wanting a new toy. Sold off the wheels and order the Buffalo. I ordered it with 40 and 50# limbs as I really wanted 45 and 55# and had been told the Hoyts typically draw heavier than advertised and I was told right, they both came out 5" heavier at my draw which just happens to be 28" I am however going to throw a loop in here as for length, you have likely read or heard that the advertising was wrong at 58" and 60" bow length, well mine was really wrong, I used string and marked it from tip to tip along the belly of bow and it came out to 64" unstrung guess that's why it came with a 59.5" string. With limited shooting I am really impressed as is the guys iin the shop, really quiet, no vibration and feels great in the hand. I have a picture of the first group ever and I wasn't even really trying I was just shooting. I'm going to really enjoy this bow and can't wait for spring. Oh and I hope all the pictures don't get taken off I can't seem to fiqure sizing out properly.

Congratulations! Some fine shooting to boot. Wish I had an indoor range like that.      :clapper:

I really like mine. I've had it a couple of weeks now. I pull about 28.5 and it is marked 45 lb limbs, but they feel closer to 50. It chronoed in the mid 180s with a 500 grn Axis arrow, but the lighting was not good and I'm not sure how accurate that is.
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

Ok so I wasn't real comfortable with my measurement so I looked up how to measure recurve and going from string groove to string groove bow is 62.5".

I couldn't tell you about the grip being like the Gamemaster2, all I know is it fits my hand very nicely. I'm not real trad savey on all the lingo but my impression of grip is as such. It fits the sweel of my hand very nicely with no pinch at all. I can honestly say it feel very much like my old compound in hand. I do notice however the bow is top limb heavy if you understand me here. While just holding bow in open grip top of bow will come back towards you. Not sure if this means anything, all I know is it shoots nice.

Congrats on the new bow. I'm not too far from you. Where did you buy it? Do they have them in stock?

Nice Buffalo!  I picked up a Hoyt dorado yesterday, So far it shoots great!

Crunch, I got the bow from Gagnons and it was ordered. I have heard Archers Nook in London has two in stock. How close are you to Oshawa, if you want to see it or feel it let me know.

I have a Amish friend that owns a bow shop and he has one of each coming (dorado & buffalo) so I'm gonna get to try both. Looking forward to it! They have a look of thier own! Nice bow BTW! Jason
