Lee Robinson .

Here is a photo and a video link of my daughter, Courtney, shooting her 1st Protege Longbow. In the photo it looks as if her left eye is closed, but it is not. She is left eye dominant, so even though she is right handed she shoots left handed. This is her 2nd time shooting this bow, but she has been shooting a traditional bow for about 8 months. She has good form overall...so I may sound a bit overbearing in the video but she asked me to point out any room for improvement I see. Typically, she is very static in her release and I have been trying to help her work on pulling off her release in a backwards motion. Other than that, I think her form is outstanding. Once she gets her form down to "natural reaction" we will then begin working on her accuracy, but check out her last 2 shots on the old pumpkin! I pulled the pumpkin photo from the video...2 arrows, but one hole.

Until next time...good shooting,

She has some good form. Hope she continues to shoot and makes it to Vegas one day.

Great to see!! Getting the feel for pulling through the release is hard to explain. She is well on her way.

I love her hat... make it camo and people would be buying them by the barrel full.

Lee, that's great stuff right there. I have a daughter that is 13 and she enjoys shooting her bow also. Congrats to your daughter on her new bow.      :clapper:

Lee, that's some great shooting by Courtney. She does a pretty darn good job of keeping that bow arm steady and pointed at the target through the shot. That's something that I don't see often in youngsters.

Mighty fine looking bow there as well.

Very nice display of what the youth can do.

She is on the right road to becoming a good archer.

Thank you for sharing.

Dang man I'm jealous, even though I started both of my daughters out at a early age neither as of yet have a desire to shoot any longer. It's been 23 years but I'm still waiting. Congrats and from the pic she's got great form!
