Blood Trail 2

Hello yall! I'm new to the trad scene! I'm a regular member of Texasbowhunters.com and alot of trad shooters over there spoke very highly of this site. Here's a little about myself:

I was born in raised in NC. I join the Marines back in '97 and spent over 9 glorious years serving my country with a bunch of heroes. i got out in '06 and moved to Fort Worth. I'm a metrology engineer for Lockheed Martin working on the baddest fighter jets in the world! I started bow hunting in '06. I shoot a Mathews Monster, but I've always wanted to cross over to the "real side". I have sooooo much respect for yall trad shooters. I hope to learn a lot from the shooters on here.

I recently bought a vintage Ben Pearson Predator recurve I'd figure I'd cut my teeth on. My boss bow this bow 40 years ago, shot it for a week, and decided it wasnt' for him. He unstrung, put it back in the box and forgot about it. I bought for $75 and the bow is absolutely brand new. Not a scratch on it!

I look forward to listening to advice on here. Thanks for sharing ya campfire!  :)

Thanks for your service and welcome from South Carolina. I'm a Tarheel too, what part of NC you hail from?
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

Welcome to the 'Gang! Thanks for your service. I spent a few years working on F-15's, Avionics, back when they were shiny and new from the factory.
Don't hesitate to ask questions, lots of knowledge and generosity here. Also, make good use of the search function. It's an awesome tool for accessing past threads.

Durn whippersnappers!  I was a structural and hydrolics mech. on Grumman Albatros seaplanes and HO4S piston helos;  we  finally got one a them new jet helos; had a jet engine on the work bench, all scratching our heads and looking at it - we flew the thing for awhile, finally sent a mech. to school on it and he came back yelling and screeching that we were doing it all wrong - - -   fun times!

WELCOME! WE HAVE FUN HERE.
