what are the differences between bcy,b-500---b-55 or brownel b-50 strings and pros and cons of using them

Brownell B50 and BCY B500 are virtually homogenous.  B55 has a little less creep.  Some have reported better shooting characteristics with it, while others have noted little to no difference.

All very good materials.

I have used all three and could find hardly any difference other than B55 seems to have less stretch.

they're all polyester and they are all literally the same in every way.  i don't see any advantages with b55, either.  if yer bow can handle modern polyethylene string fibers, way better to use them rather than polyester ... and NOT for a speed advantage.

I can do with out the few extra feet per second and the extra noise, B-50 for me.

ya know, a lotta years ago i thought the exact same thing.  why mess with that new fangled string fiber when good ol' browning dacron had served me and all my bows so well for over four decades?

I've got 4 spools of B50 that I bought back in the 80's & started making my Flemish strings for my bows again & thought why spend the money on the new stuff since what I have works & I already have it.
I don't make strings for others because I don't think my strings are as nice as others can make but they work just as good.

I started using B-50 years ago and have stuck with it since. It does what I want in a bow string. I have never had a string failure and some of my strings have over 10,000 shots through them.

I went from b-50 to b-55 this year.  I got a good deal on a bunch of spools at $.50 less per spool that b-50.  I notice a little better arrow flight with less strands.  It's not all the different than b-50, I got it becuase it costs less and performed better.

There is an old adage that states "Why try to fix something that aint broke" so I'll stick to B-50 for my older bows.

PS  - obviously I have not figured out the quote thing

B50 for me also and I like it just fine......no problems except for a little stretch until it settles in. But then alot of the stretch could be my braids at the ends of my flemish twist strings? I'm not the best at it, but they work and I haven't had one come loose on me yet.
