In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Man some great deer!!  I just kept thinking the only way to tell span of times in the picts (old from new) was the clothing and color wash of the picts.  The bows, quivers remain so similar.  Continuity is a great thing.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

There is nothing like rejoicing with other trad hunters...you can feel their excitement when you see the pics.

Thanks Ryan and Randy. I live for mulie hunting.

I can't seem to kill or even get a shot at a big whitetail though.

Off to Missouri and Nebraska this fall for another try! I'm going to start building up points for another Iowa hunt also.

Rusty
Rusty...the newest pics I was using my Blacktail. Some of the older recurve kills were with a Brackenbury Drifter, and one was a yew selfbow that John Strunk made for me in 1988.

Guys (gals too) -

I went back through all of these and there are some just plain-gorgeous-deer and memories in here. Maybe we just need an ongoing gallery. No scores needed to appreciate all of these shared moments. WOW!     :clapper:

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

QuoteJoe D that is a beautiful buck! I have seen some big ones like that here in S.E PA but have not been able to kill one yet. CONGRATS!
Timothy,
Thanks! Since AR's, we have been really seeing some nice bucks running around.    :D   The big ones are definitely around, it just takes a bit of patience and access to unmolested areas. Good luck this coming year!

Hey, Longbowben, they don't have to be booners. You must have a few "mid-western dinks"* you could add here.
