Harold Couch...AKA Shaft Slinger passed 14 Jan @ 7:15, myself, our other brother (Darrell) and his family were at his side. I would like to tell you all about Shaft Slinger, but I'll keep it very short...He loved the Trad Gang and his many friends here. He Loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors...He loved St Judes and the St. Judes auction here on TG...A Priest visited Harold the day before he passed, he asked Harold if he could pray for him...Harold said..Just pray that we can find a cure for this sickness (cancer) that takes so many lifes' before there time.
"DO NOT STAND BY GRAVE AND WEEP FOR I AM NOT THERE..I DO NOT SLEEP..I AM THE THOUSLAND WINDS THAT BLOW...I AM THE GLINT ON FRESH FALLEN SNOW..I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPENING GRAIN..I AM THE GENTLE AUTUM RAIN...WHEN YOU AWAKE IN THE MORNING HUSH, I AM THE SWIFT UPLIFTING RUSH OF QUITE BIRDS IN CIRCLING FLIGHT..I AM THE SOFT STARS THAT SHINE AT NIGHT...DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND CRY FOR I AM WITH YOU. I DID NOT DIE.

I am sorry to hear this & will keep his family in my prayers. It does sound as if he was a believer, so he is in a better place...but we certainly need to remember his family and give them our best wishes.

VERY sorry for your loss. I just read those very same words this week. I myself lost a good friend Friday 1-14-11.
