Who else thought that the beaver was a bear as it was coming out of the water? I felt pretty dumb after I realized it was a beaver.

I am going his first week of season next year.  2012. why dont you and Ivy join me!

What you see is what you get. I have known Ryan for over 20 years, and he is the only guy i know who takes a 7 ft plus bear every year. The man just knows bears. And he has one of the best bear areas for you guys to hunt here in Manitoba.Good luck with the camp Buddy, because i'm going to be thinking of you when I am in the stand hunting, and your not.......lol

snow leopard

i watched the video earlier this morning. excellent shot and a complete pass-thru! i also liked the fact that he shows other aspects of hunting rather than just the kill.

HEH!!! I know that guy!

Wow...thanks guys. Now that I finally have a camp, I need to convince Darren here to start accepting bears to mount. Darren's a local long time Trad. hunter/taxidermist. I guess when you're as good as Darren you can pick your work? Pleease Darren...pleease?

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Mudd

Thank you for posting this.

I enjoyed watching this video as much if not more than any I have ever seen.

The words that come to mind are "real", "respectful", and totally awesome!!!

Thanks gain!

Very cool video.  I don't know about crossing that creek but I guess you got to do what you got to do.

Hi Sam! The video was from 2009, and back then I was using a Cari-bow wovlerine, #54 and CX150's with a 100 gr. insert and a 225gr. Tusker Concord single bevelled from Ron at KME. The arrows only shot about 155-160 fps but hit with authority. If I remember correctly the arrow was abot 23% EFOC. Hope that helps...Ryan

Always say what you mean, that way people will know you mean what you say.

thanks for the video...very classy trad video.cangrats on the bear...an yes i guess i need glasses because i thought the beaver was a bear at 40 0r 50 yards swimming the creek...

Mudd

Don't feel badly Scott.

I was in the same shoes!!!...lol

My second thought when it climbed out on the bank was about string silencers and handle wraps...lol
