I used Jim's broadheads this fall, and I was very impressed with the results. I stuck 2 does and both died within sight of my stand. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see how they work on bucks. These heads are tough, big & nasty, and fly really well. The only negative that I have had is that they are a little difficult to sharpen--for me. I think I'll get a hold of Jim before turkey season and get a few tips on sharpening these bad boys. Peace!

I'd like to give those a try myself.

Shot a spike with the big game model this year, 15 yard shot broadside through the lungs and he only made it 35 yards before dropping, looked like a blood ritual there was so much blood on the ground, big, big hole, i'm sold on them and the simmons tiger sharks.
For sharpening I recommend the steelmaster system that Simmons sells, works great for me and pretty much foolproof if you follow the instructions.

They look like they'ed do a job on any animal. If you haven't already take a look at his broadhead test on his web site,  they look pretty tough!

here is a pic of a young 7 point shot. the first shot hit the spine and well you can see the hole of the second shot,the head that bent is the one that hit the spine ,very big hole  and alot of blood.fly like darts ,no noise .

Jim uses the wheel system on a bench grinder with grit on one and polish rouge on the other. The wheels are 1/2 wide to fit the concave cutting edge better than 5/8 wide wheels. He sells the kit on his site centaurarchery.com

I shot a turkey with one this fall. It was devistating to say the least. They also fly very well.

This is my second year using them .. not sure I'll use another head for big game other then is one. So far I shot a Buck, doe and a cow Elk ...longest blood trail was 50yds. I use the Little shaver sharpener with good results. I use a 50# bow with 600+ grain arrows with total pass thru on the whitetails and 19+ " of penertation on the ELK.

The Centaur broadheads defy all I ever believed about broadhead flight. I couldn't believe how amazing such a huge head flew. "Browndown" shot a Whitetail doe with one and it looked like it was hit with a Hatchet. "Browndown" was using 4" 2 fletch and his flight was perfect he also got Jims sharpening system and they got scary sharp very quickly. I've been shooting VPA's but I'm sure I'll be making the switch from the damage I saw and how they flew.

jims broadheads are awesome.i will only shoot his from now on.i took mine to a guy who sharpens things for a living and WOW'did he get'em sharp.

I used a Centaur "Big Game" head to take my first traditional deer this past fall. I only have three right now, but am gonna get another half dozen and try to pick up Jims wheels that he sells to sharpen them.

I have never saw as much blood from a white-tail with any other broadhead. They are AWESOME and I doubt that I will ever use anything else.

Question for the users .. what bevel are you using. I use the left wing.

We tried some of the "big game" and "battle ax" heads this fall and very happy with the results.

We shot the heads into a fresh deer shoulder ribs and backbone just to see how they would fly with our setup. Probably shot close to 20 shots and then took a "round" chain saw file and "sandpaper" and sharpened them.

Ended up using the same "big gamehead" to take a whitetail doe, jack rabbit, and a javalina so far. They sure punch a large hole in critters.

When I ordered them I beleive Jim told me he had used the same head to take 2 does and a cow elk and said he was going to keep using it until he lost it or it broke. I thought that was a pretty good idea so we will see how many more we can get with that same head.

Mine are single bevel.......left wing feathers. It will be interesting to see how many critters can be killed with a single head. Mine didn't even dull up hardly any at all. It's ready to go again.

I shot a bear and deer with good results - double bevel.  Very hard to sharpen - with Jim's wheels you still need some skill to get them sharp, not like a KME System.  Any idiot can do it.  

I'd never use anything but a 3 blade for turkeys.
